The Boston Women’s Leadership Council is a not-for-profit organization for successful female executives seeking like-minded professionals for the purposes of developing relationships, supporting the Community, sharing knowledge and resources, reputation enhancement, and creating business opportunities.
After an event held by the Massachusetts Women’s Forum, Founder Lauren Pimpare recognized the need to create a supportive network for emerging female leaders in Boston’s public and private sectors. In 2009, she founded Tomorrow’s Women TODAY. In 2017, Lauren founded the Boston Women’s Leadership Council to meet the professional needs of female executives who found that while they were not yet in the c-suite, they were also no longer, emerging.
The premise of both networks are simple: to meet the professional needs of women who wanted a deeper connection with other like-minded leaders across their community. By strengthening these ties, women could better assist each other in growing their knowledge base, finding resources, and building their leadership skills in current and future positions. BWLC achieves this aim through supportive networking, access to prominent leaders, opportunities to join not for profit boards, and by hosting events in partnership with corporations and senior business executives throughout Boston.

Lauren Gill PimpareLauren Gill Pimpare founded Tomorrow’s Women TODAY in 2009. Tomorrow’s Women TODAY is primarily an invite-only organization comprised of approximately 100 emerging women who have been identified by leaders in the community. Within Tomorrow’s Women TODAY, Lauren also established a Student Membership to provide emerging college students with opportunities to learn real-world networking skills and provide them with mentors. In 2018, Lauren launched a second not-for-profit focused on Executive female leaders called, The Boston Women’s Leadership Council.
Lauren is deeply committed to ensure that these intimate groups of women are provided with a safe and supportive network and that they have opportunities to learn from not only industry leaders, but from one another.
Lauren is responsible for the organizations’ strategic planning, event planning, outreach and communications. Before founding this non-profit, Lauren previously worked as a healthcare professional for over thirteen years. She holds a Masters Degree in Business/Healthcare Administration.
Lauren’s commitment to women does not end with her members. Lauren has worked hard to ensure that every year her organization participates in a “Pay it Forward” activity. These activities have included organizing children’s clothing at “Pass it On” and “Cradles to Crayons”, collecting suits for “Year Up” or “Dress for Success,” ice cream socials for patients undergoing cancer treatment, and hosting an educational event with Crittenton Women’s Union.
The Boston Women's Leadership Council focuses on individual growth while linking members to key industry leaders, public sector and nonprofit leaders, and corporations in the community. By strengthening women’s leadership skills, we aim to enhance the entire Boston business community. We welcome new members with a demonstrated track record of leadership within their fields.
